Official Punjab Police Complaint Management System (CMS) for lodging complaints online and checking/tracking the status of a complaint or FIR. Complainants receive a complaint number/E-Tag by SMS, and all FIRs are recorded electronically via the Police Station Record Management System (PSRMS). Complaints can also be filed by dialing the short code 1787.

How to check Punjab Police Online FIR / Complaint (CMS) online

  1. Open https://cms.punjabpolice.gov.pk/ (or the CMS login at policereport.punjab.gov.pk) to reach the Punjab Police Complaint Management System.
  2. To register a complaint online, submit your details, the incident description, and your active mobile number; you will receive a complaint number via SMS.
  3. To check status, enter your complaint number and the registered cell phone number used when the complaint/FIR was filed.
  4. Review the current status, assigned police station, and any action/remarks shown against your complaint.
  5. For a copy of an existing FIR, use the 'Copy of FIR' service at the Police Khidmat Markaz portal (pkm.punjab.gov.pk) or your local PKM/front desk.

What you need

No password is needed for basic status checks - you only need your complaint/FIR number and the mobile number registered with the complaint. For CMS staff/officer logins on policereport.punjab.gov.pk, credentials are issued by the department, not self-service.

Good to know: Citizens do not create an account to check status; the complaint number issued by SMS plus your registered mobile number is sufficient to track it.

Common Punjab Police Online FIR / Complaint (CMS) problems & fixes

'No record found' when checking status

Ensure the mobile number is active and correct; if it was mistyped at filing, visit the police station front desk or a Police Khidmat Markaz to update your record.
Complaint marked closed without resolution
Escalate via the 1787 helpline or lodge a fresh complaint referencing the previous complaint number, or approach the district PKM for follow-up.
