Through the Pak-Identity portal you can register a death, cancel a deceased person's CNIC and obtain a NADRA death/cancellation certificate, a service widely used by overseas Pakistanis.

How to log in to NADRA Death Certificate / CNIC Cancellation

  1. Log in or create an account at https://id.nadra.gov.pk/.
  2. Select the 'Cancel CNIC due to death' / death registration service.
  3. Upload the death certificate and the deceased person's original CNIC.
  4. Enter the applicant's details and relationship, then submit.
  5. Pay the fee and track the issuance of the cancellation certificate.

Reset your password / PIN

You need a Pak-Identity account; reset the password via 'Forgot Password' using your registered email. To apply you also need the death certificate and the deceased's original CNIC plus your own valid ID.

New user? The applicant (usually an immediate family member) must have their own Pak-Identity account and valid CNIC/NICOP.

Death certificate not accepted
Upload the union council / hospital computerized death certificate in a clear scan; handwritten notes are rejected.
Applicant relationship cannot be verified
Apply as an immediate family member whose relationship is recorded in NADRA's family tree, or attach supporting proof.
Deceased CNIC already cancelled
Check the CNIC status first; if already cancelled, request only the certificate copy instead of a new cancellation.
